A Different World was an NBC sitcom created by Bill Cosby. The show was a spinoff ofThe Cosby Show, and originally starred Lisa Bonet, along with Dawnn Lewis and Marisa Tomei.
ADW is divided in three distinct stages: the Denise era (which only lasted the first season), the main years, and the "new class", which introduced new Hillman students in season five.
