Personal life
Jackson met his wife LaTanya Richardson while attending Morehouse College; she attended Spelman College, Morehouse's sister school. They married in 1980. Their daughter, Zoe, was born in 1982.

Trivia
Jackson is one of the few actors to play (voice, rather) an animated superhero of color in a big budget movie; he played Frozone in "The Incredibles". He shares this distinction with Nona Gaye, who played Hero Girl in "The Polar Express". Jackson and Gaye were both in "xXx: State of the Union".
He is the highest grossing actor of all time, with a box office gross of over $3.8 billion. (Harrison Ford is second; Tom Hanks is third.)
