This is the template for theatrical film releases. There are two templates: one if there is a soundtrack for sale, and one if there is not one. Unless explicitly stated, do not leave any of these fields blank.

For a non-soundtrack film, copy and paste everything in the gray box:

{{Film infobox |
| Name =
| Poster =
| Trailer =
| Director =
| Released =
| Distributor =
| Length =
| Starring =
| Rated =
| Worldwide gross =
| DVD link = (leave blank)
| Last film =
| This film =
| Next film =
}}

For a film with an available soundtrack, copy this:

{{Film infobox (soundtrack)|
| Name =
| Poster =
| Trailer =
| Director =
| Released =
| Distributor =
| Length =
| Starring =
| Rated =
| Worldwide gross =
| DVD link = (leave blank)
| Artist =
| Soundtrack length =
| Label =
| Producers =
| Peak =
| Soundtrack link = (leave blank)
| Director =
| Last film =
| This film =
| Next film =
}}

Information

  • Name: The name of the film. If you need help with this, you're in the wrong place. Seriously.
  • Poster: The promotional poster for your film is going to be your image. These can usually be found doing a Google search; if not, try Amazon or Rotten Tomatoes. In order to make the picture show up, all you'll need to type in is Image.jpg to make it show up, with the Image being the name of the file on your hard drive.
  • Trailer: the original film trailer. If you don't know anything about video editing, do a search on YouTube; otherwise, leave this field blank. If you do have access to the trailer or know of a link where it is available, hyperlink the link it like this:
[http://yourlinkhere.com view the trailer]
  • Released: the date the film was released worldwide in the United States
  • Distributor: The company that's distributing the film
  • Length: Written as # hrs, # min.
  • Starring: List no fewer than four, but no more than six actors. Divide then with the <div> option, and double-bracket all names:
[[Name]]<div>[[Name]]<div>[[Name]]
  • Rated: The film's American rating
  • Website & fanlisting: Check The Fanlistings for a fanlisting.
  • DVD link: Leave this blank. Only an admin can log into our Amazon.com associates account and get an encoded link.

If you're using the infobox with the soundtrack, you'll need additional information:

  • Artist: Unless one person or one band/choir did all of the songs, list "various artists" as the artist.
  • Soundtrack length: listed as # hrs, # mins
  • Label: The record label that released the soundtrack. Your best bet for this information is Amazon.com.
  • Producer(s): The soundtrack's producer or producers. Use the <div> command if there is more than one producer.
  • Soundtrack link: Like the DVD link, leave this field blank. A sysop will fill it in.
  • Last film, this film & next film: The director's previous directed film, along with the date in double-bracketed parenthesis:
Name of film <div>([[year]])

If s/he has a film that has been announced but has no definite year, use the film title and "TBA" in the "next film" area.

Name of film <div>TBA

If the director does not have a previous film, use "n/a" in the "last film" field. If s/he has no plans for a future film, or if s/he is deceased and the film was his/her final film, use "n/a" in the "next film" field.
